Book Talk For Fall Semester
This book talk is about my independent reading book that I read in class called "True Notebooks" by Mark Salzman. It is
based off an experience that happened to the author. Salzman goes to a juvinelle detention hall teaching the inmates about writing and how to express how they feel. Throghout the book different situations occur that make him question the dangerous teens but overall he finds they are smarter and more alert than he would ever imagine. The story always kept me wanted to know what was going to happen next and was a very good read.

In this portfolio I have posted and reflected on books we've read in class. Throughout the whole semester I've absorbed many useful tips and tricks to make my literature the best it could be. The skills that I learned include how to properly cite my sources, how to format book titles, how to peer editing papers, and different sites to make projects. The standards of english that my portfolio adresses' includes well-written blog responses and various book reflections that have the correct way of in-text citations. To add onto that, I also followed the correct grammer rules given to me. Throughout the semester the grammar lessons that were teached encouraged me to make my writing flow all together and understand diffcult topics.
